• Emergency Information
    Must be current. Please let us know immediately of any changes in your address, phone number, persons authorized to pick up your child, or any emergency numbers to call in case of an emergency.

    Confidentiality
    Please do not discuss any confidential information learned in the classroom outside the school setting.

    TB Test
    Parents must have a TB test in order to help in the classroom. If you have a positive TB test result, you must have a chest X-ray and a clearance by the doctor before working at the school.

    Drop-Off/Pick-Up
    Peachland Preschool hours for both sessions are as follows: morning from 8:30 A.M to 11:30 A.M. And the afternoon 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Parents must drop-off and pick up children on time at the beginning and end of each session. In case of an emergency please call us or leave a message at (707) 895-2761. Anderson Valley Unified School District policy is that if child is left at school after their session is over, it is considered to be daycare and you could be charged up to $25.00 dollars every 15 minutes you are late.

    Absence
    Parents must provide a written excuse for each child's absence from school. Any illness must be identified specifically, such as “cold”, “fever”, “flu”, “chicken pox”, etc.

    Authorized Pick-up
    Parents must notify the staff in advance, in writing or by phone, if any person other than the person name d in the application form is to pick up the child from school. Parents should inform the staff about children's shared custody.

    Physical Exam
    Parents must obtain a physical examination for each child enrolled, prior to the first day of attendance. Some exceptions will be made due to scheduling problems, but no child will be allowed to continue in the program beyond 30 calendar days without a physical examination. Immunizations must be current before school admission.

    Readiness
    Parents are expected to cooperate with the teacher in deciding when a child is ready to begin school. All parents are required to attend an orientation session with their child, and may be asked to say longer if their child is not adjusting to the separation.

    Transportation Eligibility
    Parents not eligible for transportation services are responsible for transporting their child to and from the center. The person who drops off or picks up a child must come in with the child and sign their full name and time on the daily sign-in sheet.

     

     
    Clothing and Toys
    1. Dress your child in clothing you will not be concerned about if it becomes soiled. Aprons are available, but not all children willingly wear them, and they will not protect clothing completely.
    2. Thongs or sandals which are loose or slippers should not be worn to school. Boots and patent leather shoes also have slippery soles are are not recommended.

    3. No GUM or CANDY is allowed at school, and will be taken from the child by the teacher.

    4. No gun play is allowed at school. Also, toys such as Super Hero's, Masters of the Universe, G.I. Joe, monster toys, etc., are not appropriate for the preschool setting as they stimulate aggressive interaction.

    5. We prefer that children do not bring toys from home. We cannot guarantee that they toys will not be lost or broken. If the child has a special toy to share, the parent is welcome to come to school with the toy and supervise the sharing.

    6. We do have extra clothes at school to loan to children. However, please wash and return these clothes so we have enough for other children who may need to use them.
